Can I update the Avinox Ride app (used for Amflow PL) myself?: Yes, you can download the Avinox Ride app and pair it with your bike. When a new version is available, the app will send an update prompt. Simply follow the instructions to update.
When theft detection is enabled, which smartphones support pop-up notifications from the Avinox Ride app for alerts?: Currently, Avinox Ride app push notifications can only pop up on iPhone and Huawei phones, and phones that support the Google framework. Please stay tuned for further updates on other phone models.
What should I do if Amflow PL cannot be paired with my phone?: Please follow the troubleshooting steps based on the error message:
1. If the bike is already bound to another account:
Solution: Contact the person who bound the bike to unbind it, then you can bind it again.
2. If the device cannot be found:
Solution 1: Check the status on the pairing QR code page, which displays the current connection status of the bike, including the model and account name of the connected phone. If it shows Connected, it means the bike is connected to the phone's Bluetooth, and you need to find that phone and unpair it.
Solution 2: Check if your phone's Bluetooth is already paired with the bike. If so, unpair it and try again.
What should I do if Amflow PL and the Wireless Controllers fail to pair?: Press and hold both buttons on either the Right or Left Wireless Controller for five seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly. Then, attempt to re-pair.
What is the most extreme environment or operating condition that is suitable for Amflow PL to be used/ridden?: Amflow PL meets ASTM4 standards and can be used on both paved and unpaved surfaces. With the fork and rear shock air pressure set to 25-30% sag, and properly tuned, it can handle a maximum load of 125 kg, a maximum speed of 40 kph, and a maximum drop height of 120 cm.
Is it normal for Amflow PL's Control Display to feel warm or hot to the touch when in use?: Yes, it is normal. The Control Display and GPS module generate heat, and the Control Display absorbs sunlight, so it is normal for the Control Display temperature to rise and, accordingly, for it to feel warm to the touch when in use.
Amflow PL's Control Display is equipped with a temperature sensor beneath the screen; if an abnormal screen temperature is detected, an error code will be displayed on the screen and an alarm will sound.
Can the speed limit on Amflow PL be removed?: No. The maximum speed should comply with the regulations of the country/region where it is being used. Amflow does not provide a method to remove the speed limit.
What is the operating temperature of Amflow PL?: The normal operating temperature is -10° to 40° C.
Can I control Amflow PL via 4G when it's powered off?: When Amflow PL is off, you can use the Avinox Ride app over a 4G connection to check its battery level and location. If the bike's location is abnormal, you will receive a notification from the Avinox Ride app and can choose to remotely authorize unlocking or maintain the locked state and silence the alarm.

How to use the SmoothShift feature on Amflow PL Carbon?: When your bike is equipped with the SRAM Eagle Transmission, SmoothShift automatically detects gear changes and the drive unit assists the freewheel in completing the shift, delivering a seamless shifting experience.
To use SmoothShift, please ensure:
1. Your bike's firmware is updated to V00.11.03.04 or later (update via the Avinox Ride app if needed).
2. The bike is equipped with the SRAM Eagle Transmission.
3. The SRAM Eagle Transmission rear derailleur is powered via the SRAM AXS power cable. For cable availability, consult your local SRAM dealer, an authorized Amflow dealer, or Amflow online support.
4. SmoothShift is enabled on the Control Display. For your safety, disable this feature and set motor assistance to OFF during maintenance or non-riding situations.
What is the maximum customizable power output of the Amflow PL Carbon?: With firmware V00.11.03.04, riders can choose to adjust to 1000 watts of peak power in Auto, Trail, and Turbo modes. Please comply with local laws and regulations when using it.

Maintenance & Modification

Does Amflow PL support user modifications to the Drive Unit (motor/battery/sensors)?: No. The Drive Unit must use official Avinox components. Any modifications to the drive system will void the warranty and may violate legal requirements.

Does Amflow PL support replacement shifting systems from other brands?: Yes. Amflow PL supports both electronic and mechanical shifting.
It is recommended to use a shifting system that meets the requirements for eMTB use. BCD104 chainrings can be used.
What are the installation requirements for the seatpost?: Any 31.6mm-diameter dropper seatpost can be installed. Please refer to the Amflow specs page for installation depth.
What are the dimensions and bearing specifications for the headset?: The dimensions are 40x52x7 mm, with 45deg bearings.

What are the bearing models for the various pivots on the frame?: The two main pivot bearings are model 6901, located above the Drive Unit. The remaining 12 pivot bearings are model 6801.
How do I choose the specifications for the front and rear tires?: The front wheel can accommodate up to a 29-inch diameter and 2.8-inch tire width; the rear wheel can accommodate up to a 29-inch diameter and 2.6-inch tire width.
We recommend using Amflow PL's matching tires: 2.5 inches wide for the front and 2.4 inches wide for the rear.
Does Amflow PL support the installation of a 27.5-inch rear wheel for a mullet setup?: Yes, Amflow PL is compatible with both 27.5-inch and 29-inch rear wheels. Users need to adjust the four-bar linkage flip chips and set the wheel size in the app to ensure accurate speed calculation. Additionally, installing a 27.5-inch rear wheel will result in changes to geometry.
How often do I service and maintain the fork and rear shock of Amflow PL?: For detailed information on servicing and maintenance, please refer to the FOX official website. FOX provides maintenance for the fork and rear shock. Here are some suggestions from Amflow for using the shock absorbers:
1. Set the sag before each ride.
2. Adjust the rebound before each ride.
3. Clean the shock absorbers after each ride.
4. Service the air chamber after every 50 hours of riding.
5. Reapply lubricant to the aluminum alloy shock pivot after every 50 hours of riding.
6. Take your fork/shock to a FOX dealer for inspection and maintenance after 150 hours of riding (or once annually).
What kind of rear shocks can be installed on Amflow PL?: The frame is compatible with 185×55mm trunnion-mount rear shocks. The original rear shock has been fine-tuned for internal damping according to Amflow PL's four-bar linkage leverage curve.
It is recommended to use the original rear shock or a shock absorber of the same model with the same damping. If you plan to install a different rear shock model, please ensure that it does not interfere with the frame during operation.

What maintenance does Amflow PL require?: Due to natural wear and tear of the components, Amflow PL requires maintenance. Here is how to extend the lifespan and optimize performance for different parts:

1. Shock absorbers: Set the air pressure and adjust the compression and rebound settings according to the riding conditions before each ride. Clean the shock absorbers after each ride. Service the air chamber and reapply lubricant to the aluminum alloy shock pivot after every 50 hours of riding. Take your fork/shock to a FOX dealer for inspection and maintenance after every 150 hours of riding (or once annually).

2. Bike chain: Always clean the chain, remove dirt, and re-lubricate. A well-maintained chain should be replaced after about 1000 kilometers of riding to prevent excessive wear on the chainrings. Use a dedicated chain checker to determine whether or not the chain requires replacement.

3. Crankset, chainrings, and cassette: The wear on these components largely depends on riding style, maintenance, and the environment. It is recommended to service them at an authorized store every six months.

4. Brake fluid: Brake fluid should be replaced annually to ensure excellent brake performance.

5. Rotors: Keep the rotors clean and free of dirt. Do not touch them with your hands, as the natural oils on fingers and hands can negatively affect brake pad performance. Clean promptly after riding on muddy roads. Dirty brake pads will wear out more quickly and affect braking performance, potentially causing significant noise when braking.

6. Pedals: Lubricate the pedal threads thoroughly before installation to reduce noise.

7. Grips: Grips are coated with rubber. If the rubber becomes porous or greasy over time or after exposure to the sun, it is recommended to replace them with new grips.

8. Wheelset: Wheelset should not have any vertical or lateral wobble. If you notice the wheelset has been impacted, you can go to a professional bike shop to adjust the spoke tension to correct any offset caused by impact.

9. Tires: Tires should always have sufficient tread for adequate grip on roads or trails. If you find sidewall damage when inspecting the tires, replace them promptly.
Does Amflow PL support converting the wheelset to a tubeless setup?: Amflow PL comes with tubes, but both the wheelset and tires are compatible with a tubeless setup. You can easily convert to tubeless using a tubeless valve and sealant.
How many headset spacers can be installed on an Amflow PL?: There is no limit to the number of spacers. However, it is recommended to use no more than three, all installed below the stem.
Does Amflow PL support coil shocks?: Amflow PL's progressive leverage ratio design can work well with coil shocks, but you need to confirm with the shock manufacturer whether the product is compatible with yoke linkage. The yoke connecting to the rear shock is 70.18 mm. Providing this data to the shock manufacturer to check if their product is compatible with Amflow PL.

Can I use a fork with longer travel on Amflow PL?: The geometry of the Amflow PL is designed around a 160mm-travel fork. Testing has shown that it can also be fitted with a 170mm-travel fork. However, this will result in a slacker head tube angle (changing from 64.5deg to 64.1deg) and seat tube angle (changing from 77deg to 76.6deg), as well as an increase in bottom bracket height (from 345 mm to 348.8 mm). Please consider whether a replacement is necessary based on your actual riding needs. If you plan to install a different fork model, please ensure that it does not interfere with the frame during operation.
Can the Avinox front light be used independently?: No. The Avinox front light is an integrated part of the bicycle system, powered by the main vehicle battery. It has no built-in power source and cannot be removed for independent use.
What should I do if the Avinox front light does not turn on or malfunctions?: Please follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Verify that you have turned on the light according to the user manual.
2. Ensure the Control Display firmware is updated to the latest version.
3. Check that the light's cable connections are secure and free of looseness.

How should I maintain the Avinox front light for long-term performance?: Store the bicycle in a dry, well-ventilated indoor environment.

2. In rainy or foggy conditions, sudden temperature changes during high-power use may cause temporary lens fogging. This is a normal physical phenomenon with minimal impact on illumination. Turn off the light and leave it in a dry environment for a short period to clear the fog.

How do I disassemble and pack an Amflow PL for transportation?: For transportation, please use the original packaging/box you received upon purchase and pack it as it was when first opened.

What should riders check before each ride on an Amflow PL?: 1. Ensure the battery is adequately charged.
